Me and Francis where walking in
the forest and eating some apples looking for old computers. I
thinking about what the world might have been light before The Wave
invaded, some still have stories passed down for father to father or
mother to mother, about how they used computers to seek out
information, or drive in cars.
That thought drifted away when
Francis yelled for me to came look at something. I ran to him to see
a big piece of ice, stuck in a tree with a large military computer in
it. “Think we can get it out?” Francis asked “Probably not
without a flamer, we'll go back to the village and get one.” I said
and we headed back to the village.
When we got to the village we
walked into the black smith's hut, “Could we use your Flamer?”
asked Francis “You got something to trade?” he asked “Um,” I
said while looking in the pocket that hung from my neck, “how about
this?” I said and grabbed a toothbrush out of the pocket “My god
where did you find that?!” he cried “Not telling, now do you want
it or not?” I said “Yes, yes of course.” I handed him the
toothbrush and he gave me a flamer.
Francis and Me walked back into
the woods to flame the ice. When we got there a large tiger was
sleeping in front of it. We slowly walked up to and threw a spear
into it's side killing it. I took the flamer, and started flaming the
ice, we melted the computer out of the ice and tried to scooped up
most of the water. “We might have to take it apart to get it to the
village. But we we might be able to take it in three pieces. I took a
small saw out of my pocket started cutting the computer. I cut off
the big screen and we both carried it to the village, after that we
took the base, then the control panel.
We were nearly heroes to the
village, we collected these computers for parts for other machines
and weapons. We ate had dinner that night in the dining hall, we ate
the tiger we killed and also put the water in the Big Tank, we also
ate a large turkey and it's eggs. That whole night was one of
happiness, well most of it anyway. Later, almost sun rise, a large
Wave attacked the village. The had to set the gate up as fast as we
could, we set up the spikes on the wall, and threw sulfur bombs over
the wall. After hours of fighting the Wave, they left with few
creatures left.
The next couple days we stayed in
the village and behind the wall, for protection reasons. Any time a
Wave attacks we stay behind the wall for a couple days, we learned to
do that the hard way. One day a Wave attacked the village and we only
stayed in for a day, the Wave was just hiding in the woods outside
the village, so we learned to stay in for a couple days after
attacks.
The day we were aloud to leave the
village me and Francis left to find supplies for the village, such as
food, electronics, or medical supplies, some times ever forgotten
weapons, but we rarely find those. We looked all day fruit and
vegetables in our normal spot, but everything was gone, the Wave most
have eaten everything in the last couple days, we had to venture
outside our normal area, which wasn't safe.
Still all day we looked, nothing but
a few old cell phones, a calculator, and a small bottle of medicine.
So we headed back to the village, but
it was a long way, we had get to the village before sun down, because
that's when Glowworms come out, and you don't want to caught by
Glowworms, so we had to hurry. We hurried along as fast as we could.
We had to pass the marsh, which was
terrifying, be cause a leech Wave lived in it, you could see the it
move under water at times, I took hours to move through the marsh, at
the end we woke up the leach Wave, we ran, and we ran fast. When the
village was in sigh, we yelled for them to get ready to close the
gate. We ran through and the gate closed. The wave smashed the gates
down and we ran into the underground bunker.
I'm writing this now, in the bunker,
the leech Wave is right outside, we might not make it through the
night. The black smith brought all the weapons into the bunker, the
mayor said that all food is down hear, and the extra supplies. We
probably won't make it, Francis was bit by a leech, he might turn
into a worman. God help us all...
